And the options for outdoor fun in Alta Badia are certainly not lacking. Besides the numerous trails suitable for hiking, there are many well-marked via ferrata climbing wall faces, equipped for grappling with the excitement of rock climbing exploring and getting to know the beauty of the Dolomite rocks. Those who love mountaineering and climbing will be spoiled for choice. Both beginners and more experienced mountain climbers, in fact, will find numerous routes suited to their level of preparation, along steep cliff faces and along peaks at high altitude; without forgetting the opportunity of practising and training in both the indoor and outdoor fully equipped gyms.

And if climbing does not give you an enough of an adrenaline kick, then you can try the thrill of paragliding or hang gliding. The excellent updrafts, which are a feature of the area, guarantee excellent flight. Halfway between hang gliding and skydiving, paragliding is an exciting sport in which, thanks to the Alta Badia Free Fall Centre and the tandem-harness system, also novices with no technical diving knowledge can participate diving strapped together with an expert diving instructor. With the tandem dive, you can in fact enjoy this incredible experience over the Dolomite peaks in total safety.

Most relaxing and decidedly more suited to all the family is definitely a pleasant horse riding trek. In Alta Badia, the equestrian tradition is deeply rooted and there are many stables breeding the famous Avelengo horses, a breed indigenous to South Tyrol. The Avelengo is a great horse to ride in the mountains even by the youngest children and beginners, as it combines strength and resistance with a particularly docile and friendly personality. Riding these four-legged friends, Alta Badia offers many trails through alpine, wildflower meadows and enchanting woods, in addition to the unique magic of a ride through the snow during wintertime.
